A truly international wedding, Amrutha and Nikhil’s wedding extended from Ongole, India to Austin, Texas, and we were there for both the events. While the wedding was a traditional Indian affair at the grooms hometown of Ongole in Andhra Pradesh, India, the reception was an all American event in Austin, where Amrutha’s parents live.

At Ongole we did a couple shoot at the beach amidst innumerable fishing boats and also at the event venue. We followed it up with a post wedding shoot at the famous McKinney Falls State Park in Austin.

The Ongole wedding was full of tradtional fervor and colors. The Sangeet event was pulsating and the Haldi event next morning while colorful, also had the would be bride and groom under cold water poured by friends and family. These are the best events to shoot from a photographers viewpoint.

The wedding itself was late in the night and our photography team and the wedding film team shot it half asleep :). By the time we finished, it was about 6 am.

The Austin event was much more in line with the discipline of an American event. some beautiful dances, great food, a lovely cake and some frenzied dancing to the DJs music.

Being based out of Chennai and Austin, he was the perfect choice for our truly international wedding. From the haldi, sangeet, and wedding in India to the reception in Texas, he covered it all! We had a couple of photo shoots in which he proactively scouted for scenic locations and also made sure my husband and I were color coordinated ahead of time. I was also pleasantly surprised when he promptly delivered our pictures within 10 days of our wedding and reception. The way he captured our special moments with the classic Leica cameras (and others) was spectacular!!!
