Tisha and Adi
Friends and FunI first shot at the beautiful Tamarind Tree, way back in 2010. It’s a one of kind wedding venue in Bangalore. A place that exudes cultural heritage and aesthetics. So when I heard about the venue I was excited to go back and shoot there after eight years and I was glad it had not changed much.
Tisha and Adi are college sweethearts and we loved the chemistry they brought into the pictures. Of course, a huge bunch of friends and exuberant family members added to the fun of shooting this wedding.
This one was full of rituals and for two days we hardly got a breather but every event was full of colors. Needless to say, the food was lip smacking. The natural light at Tamarind Tree is a photographers dream and in the evening the artificial lighting is also tastefully done.
We had a big team for this one to cover the Wedding Film and pictures. At work were a few Sony cameras, my Leica SL, the Fuji GFX 50R medium format and also a couple of film cameras I was experimenting with, namely the Hasselblad 501 CM and a Large Format Linhof Technika. I have been infusing some pictures shot on film, along with digital in my recent wedding shoots. I used Ilford Delta film.
This was also my first wedding with the Profoto B10s. These brilliant lights shot 333 frames without misfiring even once on the dance floor as the DJ started to pump up the volume and mood and the wedding party went into a frenzy.
